Symptom
Reports built using time dependent data sources show incorrect or no hours for Employees, and differ from the pre-delivered reports.

Reproducing the Issue
Compare the following:
- The Employee's Time File in Time Administration work center, Employees view, Edit, and Employee Times tab.
- Any pre-delivered standard time report, in Time Administration work center, Reports view
- Your custom report built on a time dependent data source. Business Analytics work center, Design Reports view
The hours in the Time File and the pre-delivered report match but those in the custom report do not.
Cause
The Key Date characteristic is needed for time dependent data source. If a Key Date is not specified in the report, then the system will select a default value which is todays date which can lead to missing data.
Resolution
Please add the characteristic to your report using the steps below…
To add the Key Date:
- Edit the report via the Report Wizard
- Navigate to Select Characteristics
- Add the Key Date characteristic from the list of available characteristics.
- Save and then run the report specifying the key date for selection.
