3360416 - Error with Competency name length (Check ID: CompetencyNameLengthCheck) - Talent Intelligence Hub

When running the checks for Talent Intelligence Hub application in Admin Center > Check Tool, issue(s) for the check "CompetencyNameLengthCheck" are found.

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

The competency names have an upper limit of 236 characters. The competencies that exceed 236 characters will not be migrated from Center of Capabilities.

Some checks have a Quick Fix, which can be used to immediately correct any issues found by that check.
NOTE: Keep a back up of your data before using the Quick Fix option to correct this issue. 

Quick Fix option is available for this check, and users with permission "Allow Check Tool Quick Fix" granted in RBP can:

1. Click the results and will see the four-step process at the top of the Detailed Results dialog;
2. Complete all four steps to fix the sequence issue, providing your approval for the data selected, and click Close to complete the process;
   NOTE: Procedure can be found in the Using the Quick Fix Feature section of the Check Tool Guide,
3. Run the check again to verify if the fix was completed successfully;
4. Once completed, Competencies Names will be truncated to 236 characters automatically.

In some unpredictable circumstances, the Quick Fix may complete successfully and the issue remain in your system. This may be due to series of data validations that are done by the system when executing a fix in Check Tool, and may vary from tenant to tenant.

Therefore, if you experience this behavior, we recommend that you correct the data manual in the UI or via Import method.

You can fix the name length issues manually for the pointed behaviors in your instance by changing them in Admin Center > Manage Competencies (for JDM instances) or Admin Center > Manage Center of Capabilities (for JPB instances), or using the import tools.
