3360512 - People Profile header color is not respecting the theme

Symptom

The people profile color is not respecting the theme added within Fine > Tune > Portlets > Header background color.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - People Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. With Horizon Theme enabled, go to the profile of a user and see that the header is not respecting the theme configured
  2. Go to Company System and Logo Settings, disable the Horizon Visual Theme
  3. Go back to the profile and see that the colors of the header is now respecting the configuration on Theme Manager -> Fine Tune -> Portlets -> Header background color.

Resolution

This is expected behavior

When the Horizon theme is enabled:

  • Some UI elements that previously had their color defined in Theme Manager can no longer be customized. They take their color from the Horizon base theme instead.

  • Some UI elements that previously had a fixed color become customizable. Their color is defined in Theme Manager.

Here's an example of a UI element that changes color with the Horizon theme.
  • The white background color is defined by the Horizon base theme. It isn't configurable.
  • The pink text color on the currently selected tab ("Me") is defined at Fine Tune  Portlets  Body link text color.
  • The black text color on the other tabs is defined at Fine Tune  Portlets  Body text color).

Here's the same example without the Horizon theme.
  • The blue background color is defined at Fine Tune  Portlets  Header background color.
  • The blue text color on the currently selected tab ("Me") is defined at Fine Tune  Placemat  Selected Tab color.
  • The white text color on the other tabs is defined at Fine Tune  Placemat  Body text color  Page Title color.
