3360580 - 500 Internal Error Occurred While Importing Materials Using Mass Data Maintenance

Symptom

You are importing materials data via Mass Data Maintenance but system reports 500 internal error.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center.
  2. Click the Import Materials link.
  3. Choose the file you want to import.
  4. Upload.
  5. System reports 500 internal error.

Cause

There might be some erroneous entries in the file. This is mostly due to number of Quotes (") occurring continuously in the file you imported. 

Resolution

Correct the entries having too many Quotes("). Once correct the erroneous records, dump will not occur.
