3361755 - How to extend Reset password validity link

Symptom

Is it possible to extend the Reset Password validity Link.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2 1.0

Reproducing the Issue

  • Login to the Tenant and navigate to Settings--> Users
  • Search for a user and click on "Reset Password"
  • You will receive the mail with the Subject Line "Your Password is Reset" which contains the information "This link is valid for 30 minutes."

Cause

As per security guidelines the password link validity has been kept to 30 minutes.

Resolution

It cannot be extended by the end-user or by an admin.

This is the current system design.
