3361775 - WBS element ABCDEF is already assigned to another sales document item

The following message is raised when trying to add another line item to a Sales Order within a project "WBS element *ABCDEF is already assigned to another sales document item". (Message no. V2513).

*Where ABCDEF represent the project ID. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Open the Manage Sales Order App.
2. Select the Sales Order you have created for the Project.
3. Attempt to add a new line item to the order.
4. "You cannot assign the same WBS element to more than one sales document item that is relevant for project accounting" error message is raised.

1. Log on to the SAP Fiori Launchpad as a Project Financial Controller.
2. Open the App Project Control - Enterprise Projects (F3215).
3. Open the relevant Project ID.
4. Review the value maintained for Multiple Sales Order Item Scenario.
5. Value is maintained as "No".

• When creating a project which has Project with Revenue profile, if you enable (Set checkbox as "Yes") the Multiple Sales Order Items Scenario flag, you can assign more than one pricing and billing relevant sales order items to the same billing WBS element.
• Once the project is saved, you cannot change the Multiple Sales Order Items Scenario field.

Billing Element
