Symptom
With “Centralized Services to Save Changes on the Manager Self-Service UI for Change Job and Compensation Info” enabled, workflow is not triggered at all or not triggered correctly when compensation info and job info changes are done in a specific sequence.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Open a user's employee profile.
- Choose Take Action -> Change Job and Compensation Info
- Select only "Compensation Information".
- Enter effective date, event, event reason (that fulfills the if-condition of the workflow rule). Make any change in compensation.
- Now select "Job Information" as well.
- Make any change in Job Info.
- Save.
-> Workflow is NOT triggered or triggered incorrectly.
Workflow is triggered correctly when:
- Job Info is selected first and Compensation Info is selected secondly
- Job Info AND Compensation Info are selected together
Resolution
As a workaround, please disable "Enable Centralized Services to Save Changes on the Manager Self-Service UI for Change Job and Compensation Info " or when using Take Action, choose job information first, then choose compensation information.
The Engineering team is planning to fix the issue in 2H 2023 release which is scheduled on 20th Oct 2023 for Preview environments and 17th Nov 2023 for Production environments, however it's not yet confirmed. We will update this KBA when we have more details.
