Eligibility value of advance does not update when there is a change in employee data leading to eligibility change, provided that employee had already availed an advance request of same eligibility for advance.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Advances

1. An employee is eligible for an advance and has an approved advance request already.
2. Now employee data changes for eg: compensation component, jobCode etc which should give new eligibility value for employee as per payComponentGroup percentage or as per eligibility rule.
3. But employee is only allowed to request remaining amount which was as per eligibility when he requested the first advance request. Any amount requested more than this will give out error as requested amount is greater than eligible amount.

• System calculates eligibility as per payComponent group percentage or as per eligibility rule and entails employee to correct entitlement.
• But when an advance request is created for the first time and saved, an Accumulation for advances object is created which holds the entitlement amount, approved/saved claim amount and then the remaining amount.
• From next time, when employee checks the advances UI or requests advance it will provide amount only upto the remaining amount from this Accumulation for advances object <Guide Link> and not as per the latest eligibility that employee belongs to as the system design is to check the eligibility at the time of first advance creation and from next time it checks the remaining amount and does not rely on rule or payComponent Group percentage to reflect new eligibility as per employee data.

• This is a known and expected system behavior.
• If you wish an enhancement to this behavior where eligibility gets updated as per employee data changes, please submit an idea following the KBA-2090228.

Workaround: To update remaining amount / eligibility amount directly in Accumulation for advances object to provide employee with more eligible amount.
