3362543 - A few tabs are missing in the Personnel File of an employee

Symptom

You notice that a few tabs are missing under Personal Data of an employee's Personnel File (for example: Disability, Regulatory Compliance, IDs, Additional Data).

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Personnel Administration work center.
  2. Go to Employees view.
  3. Select the relevant employee.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Go to Personal Data tab.
  6. You see a few sub-tabs missing.

Cause

The structure and content of your employee's Personnel Files vary, depending on the country in which they were hired and the current scope of your HR solution.

Please note that these tabs are not related to the country that has been scoped in the system. They are related to the country where each employee has been hired.

You can find below a few examples of countries that require specific data for its employees:

  • Disability: China, Germany, France, United Kingdom, India, United States.
  • Regulatory Compliance: China.
  • IDs: China, France, United Kingdom.
  • Additional Data: China.

Once an employee is hired in one of the above mentioned countries, they will have the respective tab(s).
