Symptom

"Generate Summary" versus "Preview" on a Sales Order

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open any Sales Order
  2. Click Actions
  3. There are two options: "Generate Summary" and "Preview"

Resolution

The Generate Summary action is used for offline orders - it is only used to view the PDF summary offline, and will not attach anything to the order.

The Preview action previews the PDF summary and will allow you to attach it to the order.  This can only be used online.
