Symptom

  • Classic Story with Line Chart cannot be converted to unified story due to "forecasting" detected but there is no forecasting in Line Chart
  • Unsupported and will be added at a later time • Forecasting

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) 2023.8.18 QRC2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Line Chart, with Date dimension as x-axis.
  2. From chart action menu () choose Add - Forecast - Triple Exponential Smoothing .
  3. Save the story.
  4. Edit the chart again. 
  5. From chart action menu () choose Add - Forecast, untick Triple Exponential Smoothing .
  6. Save the story.
  7. File - Convert to Optimized Design Experience.
  8. Observe "Unsupported and will be added at a later time
    • Forecasting"

Cause

The issue is identified as product defect.

Resolution

The issue is fixed in 2023.15, will be applied in 2023 QRC3 Q3 .
