Error KD503 happens during settlement:

Configuration is missing.

You need to maintain the configuration in SSCUI / Configuration Activity 104073 - Maintain Allocation Structures, according to the long text of the error message.

Also make sure that the cost element mentioned in the long text is assigned to the cost element group defined for the Assignment Source of the Allocation Structure. You can use "Manage Cost Element Groups" to maintaining these.
