There are 2 business partners for one worker.

For new employees, a BP instance in the Employee role is created and a separate BP instance in the Employment role is created for every employment. This employment BP instance will carry the Vendor role. If the existing employee BP already has a Vendor role, it continues to carry the old vendor role and in addition gets the Employment role. In this case, the employee BP is linked to exactly one employment or personnel number. Every employee BP identifies its main employment using the HCM032 identification type added to it. This helps the employee BP to always reflect the data of the current main employment.

One corresponds to the BUP003 employee role and the other corresponds to the BUP010 employment role.

This is a expected behavior with the New BP model. For each employee that gets created two business partners will be generated for it.

HCM001 / HCM032 => Employee Business Partner with role BUP003

HCM033 => Employment Business Partner with role BUP010

An employment is an agreement between an employee and a company or an agreement between two companies regarding a person (contingent worker) and is represented as the work assignment. A workforce person can have many work assignments - either discretely or simultaneously. If there're multiple assignments, the system calculates a main employment automatically. The main employment indicates the current active employment.
