3364393 - syb_default_pool and syb_blocking pools are changing position in the <SERVER>.bak file after a reboot - ASE

Symptom

  • The <server>.bak file has the syb_default pool and syb_blocking pool in the following order:
    [Thread Pool:syb_default_pool]
            number of threads = 4
            idle timeout = 100

    [Thread Pool:syb_blocking_pool]
            number of threads = 4
  • Making a configuration change in ASE, changes the order.
    For example:
    sp_configure "number of locks", 5000
    go
  • Rebooting ASE after making change, the syb_blocking_pool and syb_thread_pool changes position in the configuration file:
    [Thread Pool:syb_blocking_pool]
            number of threads = 4

    [Thread Pool:syb_default_pool]
            number of threads = 4
            idle timeout = 100
  • If no configuration change is made and ASE is rebooted, the pools do not change position.
