3364728 - MQ delivered an asynchronous event with completion code 'X', and reason 'XXXX'., Error Code: JMSWMQ1107

When IBM MQ is being patched or maintained, a few JMS channels appear to be malfunctioning and unable to connect to nodes (the ping channel displays red for one or two nodes); you attempt to restart the channels without success, and you see the below error being thrown for the JMS channels in error:
