3364961 - "Not allowed to override this Storefront" error in SmartEdit

Symptom

When accessing a page in SmartEdit, no edit modes are displayed and the page keeps loading infinitely. When checking the console tab of the browser the following error can be seen:

Uncaught Error: https://smarteditDomain is not allowed to override this storefront.
