3365019 - SAP Cloud Portal Service on Neo and Cloud Foundry Environment will sunset on December 31, 2028

SAP’s multi-cloud foundation for SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) has been the default development environment for new customers since 2020. It provides a choice of infrastructures, runtimes, and environments for SAP BTP services such as the Cloud Foundry environment, the Kyma environment, and the ABAP environment, available on all leading cloud infrastructure providers today.

With this momentum, the legacy Neo environment of SAP Business Technology Platform will sunset on December 31, 2028, subject to terms of customer or partner contracts. This is relevant for Cloud Portal Service Customers, whose systems are still running on the Neo environment.

In the meanwhile, SAP Cloud Portal Service on Cloud Foundry Environment will also sunset on December 31, 2028, which is on the same day of SAP Cloud Portal Service - Neo environment retirement. This is because our trend of migrating to SAP Build Work Zone.
