3365217 - Error: "Gross volume for EA must be greater than or equal to ..." when trying to create product

The following cases fail with error: "Gross volume for EA must be greater than or equal to xxx (Net Volume)" (where xxx is the net volume figure)

• You are using an OData service to insert new products.
• Alternatively, you are trying to create a product in the UI.

SAP Business ByDesign

Steps in OData:

1. In Application and User management work center, open OData Services view
2. Select and process the relevant service
3. Error message appears

Steps in UI:

1. In Product Portfolio work center, select Products view 
2. Select New to create a new product
3. Enter in mandatory information (Material ID, Material Description, Product Category, Base UoM) and Save
4. Under the General tab, enter in the Net Volume and Gross Volume
5. Error message appears

The maintained Net Volume is bigger than the Gross Volume.

This is the expected system behaviour. It is not possible to bypass or supress the error message.
