3367243 - BI Launchpad session timeout does not work if biprws is configured with ending slash(/)

Symptom

  • Log into BI launchpad url (http://<server:port>/BOE/BI and wait for session timeout.  Session timeout never happens.
  • Session timeout is set to 15 minutes in the "<Install folders>\tomcat\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\web.xml" config file as:
    <session-config>
            <session-timeout>15</session-timeout>
    </session-config>
  • The timeout warning does not kick off even after 16 minute mark 
  • You never see a "You session is going to end" message and the session never ends.
  • Issue can cause potential build up of sessions which never end.
