3367638 - Error FAA_POST216 during Legacy Data Transfe S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition

Symptom

Posting transfer values to a legacy asset results in error FAA_POST216 (Transfer date &2 of asset &1 not equal to configuration; Cannot post).

Environment

S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enter Post Legacy Transfer Values app.
  2. Enter the parameters of the asset and company code. 
  3. Enter the take over values.
  4. Simulate and the error shown. 

Cause

The asset was created when a different legacy segment was open. Each legacy asset is linked to the legacy transfer segment that was open at the time it was created and can only be posted to when that legacy segment is open. 

Resolution

Either open the legacy segment that is linked to the legacy asset, or create a new legacy asset which will be linked to the current open legacy segment. 

The legacy segment that the legacy asset belongs to can be found in the Manage Legacy Assets app.
