Symptom
A Solution Order has lifecycle status Released, but no follow-up Sales Order is created.
When checking the Solution Order transaction history, no subsequent documents are available or processed.
Environment
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
- Solution Order Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Log on to the SAP Fiori launchpad with role SAP_BR_SOLN_ORDER_SPCLST assigned.
- Open the app Manage Solution Orders.
- Choose Create.
- Enter the Sold-to Party.
- Add a Sales Item.
- Save the Solution Order.
- Open the Solution Order at a later date.
- Choose Release All Items.
- No follow-up Sales Order is created.
Cause
The Requested Delivery Date maintained for the Sales Item is in the past when compared with the Solution Order creation or release date.
Because the Requested Delivery Date is no longer valid, the Sales Item cannot be distributed successfully and the follow-up Sales Order is not created.
Resolution
- Open the affected Solution Order.
- Choose Edit.
- Select the affected Sales Item.
- Maintain the Requested Delivery Date as either:
- Today’s date, or
- A future date
- Save the changes.
- Release the item again.
If there are no other errors in the document, the distribution should complete successfully and the follow-up Sales Order should be created.
After releasing the item, choose Refresh in the Solution Order to display the latest distribution status and transaction history.
