3367768 - Alphabet and Latin characters overlap when print in the APP "Accounts Document Output"

Symptom

When print Chinese Account Document,some alphabet and Latin characters are printed too close to recognize.

Environment

  • S/4 HANA Cloud system all releases.

Reproducing the Issue

  • Open app "Accounts Document Output" in S/4 HANA system and select "direct printing".
  • Print with SAP Cloud Print Manager
  • Installed Mono type fonts following the KBA 2964063 - How to use Mono type Font printing for PDFPRINT.

Cause

  • The APP "Accounts Document Output" uses ADS form template IDCN_ACC_DOC_OM_1 and font AdobeSongLtd_light is used in print preview.
  • When print from CPM,the font AdobeSongLtd_light was mapped to another Chinese font which may not be able to print Alphabet and Latin characters correctly.

Resolution

  1. Open file FontSubstitution.xml file from printer server where CPM is installed from folder 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SAP Shared\Fonts',
    change the first section as below and save.
        <OriginalFont>AdobeSongStd-Light</OriginalFont>
        <SubstitutionFont><B Font></SubstitutionFont>----Here the B font should be the font file that can show the problem characters correctly.For example:AdobeSongStd-Light.
    Caution:Use the font file only in case you have the license.
  2. Copy Substitution font file to folder 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SAP Shared\Fonts'.     
  3. Restart print server.
  4. Reprint from app "Accounts Document Output".
