3368148 - Unknown error on import when import is running from Provisioning - Employee Central

Employee Data import is failing with error "The system has encountered an unknown error on import. Please contact the System Administrator" when the Import job is scheduled in Provisioning. While making the import in the instance via Import Employee Data, the file gets imported with no errors.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Provisioning and schedule an Employee Data Import job with a file coming from SFTP
2. Run the job
3. Import fails with error "The system has encountered an unknown error on import. Please contact the System Administrator."
4. Try to import the same file in the instance via Import Employee Data
5. Import is successful

Job Owner of the Import Job in Provisioning does not have valid data in Employee Central, especially on Personal Information. Due to that, system is unable to write their name as the creator of the new record for the users.

Error on Internal logs is: cannot insert NULL or update to NULL: Not nullable "CREATED_BY" column

Correct the Personal Information details of the job owner in the Employee Profile.
