3368158 - Condition tags not returning expected result in configurator level

Symptom

Permission group condition not working for conditioning product visibility inside configurator.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a permission group;
  2. Enable advanced mode;
  3. Create a tag with a condition to disable or enable an attribute inside of product configurator;
  4. Configure the product;
  5. Condition set won't work.

Cause

Formulas used in permission groups should primarily be used to inspect the field values for the logged User. Retrieving values from the Quote and Configurator-related fields won’t return valid results. 

Resolution

Condition should be set inside product using triggers, simple rules or formula rules in order to condition works inside product configurator and quote.
