3368190 - Time Zone of Shipment Date and Delivery Date in Outbound Delivery

The time zones for the shipment date and delivery date in the outbound delivery are different. You would like to understand how the system takes into account the time zone for these two fields.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics Work Center.
2. Navigate to Outbound Deliveries View.
3. Search for outbound delivery XXX.
4. Edit it and you find that the time zones between shipment date and delivery date are different.

The Shipment Date is determined based on the time zone of the Site Calendar.

However, the Delivery Date is based on the time zone of the Ship-to-location, not the user's account time zone.

Additionally, the Delivery Date is stored in UTC in the backend, which is why reports display dates in UTC format instead of the user's preferred time format.
