Symptom

After exporting and importing, the imported story didn't keep the same format as the source in Embedded SAP Analytics Cloud

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors
  • Embedded SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to SAP SuccessFactors and go to Reporting
  2. Create a new story.
  3. Create dimension link for model Job Information, Personal Information, Personal Information2.
  4. Add a crosstab and set all 3 models as data sources. In Rows, select 1 dimension from every models.
  5. There will be 1 measure from every models, totally 3 measures added automatically in the crosstab. Now for the column of two Count columns (from Personal Information and Personal Information2), right click and choose Hide Column.
  6. Now only 1 measure cal will be present in the crosstab. Edit its format, change the Decimal Place from Default to 0.
  7. Save this story.
  8. Now export this story to .acn file and then delete this story.
  9. Import .acn file to restore this story.
  10. Open the imported story.
  11. Find that there will be 2 issues:
    1. There will be Count column shown
    2. The Decimal Place for cal is changed to Default but no longer to be 0.
