3368384 - How to find the correct hostid for SYSAM license if the ifconfig command is not installed in the SUSE server?

Symptom

  • According to the license site, there is a need to run /sbin/ifconfig to get the hostid information.
  • When running ifconfig in the server, the message "command not found" happened because the ifconfig command has been deprecated since SUSE15.
  • There is a need to generate the license before SAP ASE installation.
