3368689 - Additional Create Admin Alerts Scheduled Job gets deleted

Symptom

  • Why does the new scheduled Create Admin Alerts job gets deleted?
  • Is it possible to add additional schedules to the Create Admin Alerts job?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to provisioning > Manage Scheduled Jobs
  2. Click Create New Job
  3. Fill out the Job Name ; Job Owner (SFADMIN); Select Create Admin Alerts as Job Type; Select Recurring > Daily > run every hour > Put Start Date > Create Job
  4. Submit the job
  5. The created job will not run on schedule as no entries is shown in Monitor Jobs and it will no longer be found in provisioning as if it was deleted.
  6. Another result is that, the created job will run on schedule but after a few runs the job will eventually disappear in provisioning as if it was deleted.

Cause

Expected behavior per Engineering.

Resolution

Our Engineering team confirmed that this is an expected behavior. Unfortunately, the highest frequency for admin alert creation job is daily.

New manual periodically scheduled Admin Alert job requests are deleted by our logic. This is a kind of guardrails to keep the load of the jobs in the system stable.

In case you need this "feature" (RUn AdminAlertJob in frequency "Twice a day"), please submit a new enhancement request to have this functionality considered within future development cycles so we may adjust our tools to better suit your needs. Kindly also document for which admin alert types you would like to have this feature.
