3369391 - How is the number of partitions being calculated in RMS? - SAP DI

Symptom

  • You are using Replication Management Service (RMS) to replicate tables from an SLT system. 
  • You configured RMS_MAX_PARTITIONS parameter in SLT system to enable parallelization for initial load . For example configure the value higher than 10 (the default value). 
  • From Data Intelligence Monitoring -> Replications you see for some tasks are always use 3 partitions, but for some other tasks, they are using partitions higher than 3.
