3370156 - Long GC time and memory exhaustion on AcceleratorAddOnFilter despite the default filter being disabled

Symptom

  • Dynatrace alerts HIGH_GC_COLLECTION_TIME on appstorefronts pods 

  • In the Dynatrace Memory Profiling it was identified a top custom code method:
    com.<MASKED>.storefront.filters.AcceleratorAddOnFilter.doFilter that caused high GC and memory exhaustion for the cms, jsp components

  • The default AcceleratorAddOnFilter disabled on storefront aspect  addonfilter.active=false
