3370168 - Multiple Warehouse Requests are Created during Creating New Replenishment Task

Symptom

When creating a new replenishment task for a product in different logistic areas, expecting there only one warehouse request would be created after selecting multiple lines for the product and clicking on Request Replenishment button. However, multiple warehouse requests are created.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Internal Logistics Work Center.
  2. Navigate to New Replenishment under Common Task list.
  3. Enter product XXX and click Go button (XXX represents the product ID).
  4. Select multiple Line items.
  5. Enter Replenishment Quantity as needed for each line item.
  6. Click Request Replenishment button.
  7. Navigate to Warehouse Requests.
  8. Search for product XXX, multiple warehouse requests are created.

Cause

Products in one warehouse request must have the same logistics area ID. If products have the same Logistics Area ID, they can be bundled into one replenishment task. But if the Logistics Area IDs of the products are different from each other, even though all the products are selected which require replenishment in the same warehouse request, multiple warehouse requests would be created instead of one.

Resolution

This is the standard system behavior.
