3370405 - Text Formatting is Lost When Visit Summary Message is Sent to Outlook

Symptom

You send a Visit Summary to Attendees along with message, all the formatting is lost, and the message is displayed without line breaks in Outlook.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Visits Workcenter
  2. Search for Visits ABC
  3. Navigate to Attendees tab
  4. Select an Attendee
  5. Select on More
  6. Select Send Summary
  7. Type some message in the Message field with formatting
  8. Choose Send

Observe the Outlook Mail received has PDF, but the Message appears in one single line and the formatting is lost.

Cause

Outlook does not display E-mail text formatting from Rich or Formatted text; the message is displayed without line breaks, thus only the plaintext of the E-mail is supported.

Resolution

This is the Standard System Behaviour.
