3370574 - 'Material ABC, business residence DEF; financials assignment not active' Error Message in GR/IR Clearing Run

GR/IR Clearing Run finished with error in Messages tab:

'Material ABC, business residence DEF; financials assignment not active' 

ABC means the Material ID.

DEF means the Business Residence.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to the GR/IR Clearing view.
3. Find and open respective Run ID, with Processing Status Error.
4. Move to Messages tab.
5. Notice the error:

'Material ABC, business residence DEF; financials assignment not active' 

For material ABC, Business Residence DEF and Company GHI (GHI is the Company ID for which you have executed the GR/IR Clearing Run), an Account Determination Group is missing in material master data.

Maintain Account Determination Group in master data of material ABC, as follows:

1. Go to the Product Data work center.
2. Go to the Materials view.
3. Find material ABC and click Edit.
4. Click View All.
5. Go to the Valuation tab.
6. Under Companies/Business Residence section, click Add Row.
7. Enter Company GHI and Business Residence DEF.
8. Enter an Account Determination Group.
9. Click Save.
10. Change the Status from In Preparation to Active.
11. Click Save again.

After performing the above steps you should execute the GR/IR Clearing Run again and the Purchasing Document Item containing material ABC should be processed successfully.
