3371119 - ILM process related queries in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Following are some of the ILM process related queries in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud:

1. Unable to access ILM apps in Fiori launchpad
2. Archiving object is not available in Manage Archiving Variants app
3. Archiving job is not getting executed
4. Data Destruction job is not getting executed
5. Unable to check the status of archive job scheduled from Manage Archiving Variants app
6. Storage location of archive files
7. Unable to access archive data

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

1. Unable to access ILM apps in Fiori launchpad
   • You must have the business role template SAP_BR_DATA_PRIVACY_SPECIALIST assigned to your user to be able to use ILM apps
2. Archiving object is not available in Manage Archiving Variants app
   • For the archiving object to be visible, the pre-conditions are:
     • It should be assigned to an audit area of policy category 'Retention Rules'
       • Use the ILM Audit Area app for this
     • It should have a live retention policy
       • Use the ILM Policies app for this
3. Archiving job is not getting executed
   
   • Once the archiving run is scheduled from Manage Archiving Variants app, the archiving job is scheduled in the background
   • Scheduled archiving runs are triggered by a technical job which is executed:
     • once in seven days for a production run
     • once in a day for a test run
4. Data Destruction job is not getting executed
   
   • Once the data destruction run is scheduled from ILM Data Destruction app, the destruction job is scheduled in the background.
   • Scheduled destruction runs are triggered by a technical job which is executed:
     • once in seven days for a production run.
     • once in a day for a test run.
5. Unable to check the status of archive job scheduled from Manage Archiving Variants app
   • The status of an archive job can be monitored via Monitor Archiving Jobs app
   • For every archiving object that has jobs associated with it, the app displays the job statuses such as failed, scheduled, in process, and completed
6. Storage location of archive files
   
   • Archive files are stored in SAP Cloud Platform in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
7. Unable to access archive data
   • Archive data can be accessed via Archive Explorer app
   • You must have the business role template SAP_BR_EXTERNAL_AUDITOR (External Auditor) assigned to your user to be able to use this app
