3371566 - The API getActiveSelectedMembers does not work with the unbooked members in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

An input control exists in the SAC optimized story or classic application.

This input control is enabled with the unbooked data option.

Whenever an unbooked member is selected in this input control, the API getActiveSelectedMembers does not return it as expected.
If an booked member is selected, the API getActiveSelectedMembers returns it properly.

It is the current design that the API getActiveSelectedMembers does not return the unbooked members:

• In the Analytic Application API Reference guide https://help.sap.com/doc/958d4c11261f42e992e8d01a4c0dde25/release/en-US/index.html#InputControlDataSource_MgetActiveSelectedMembers, it says "Not supported for input controls that show unbooked members"

On the SAC Customer influence site, there is an existing request for the same feature: https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/305983. Please vote for and follow this request to be informed of any update.

Currently, the development team are doing internal researches to see if it is technically feasible for Input Control.getActiveSelectedMembers to return unbooked members. However, it is still in the research phase so we cannot provide the timeline. Any further update will be provided in  https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/305983 and the SAC roadmap.

For the moment, please retrieve the unbooked member by other APIs, for example, Table_1.getDataSource().getMember().
