3371670 - Error: "At least one Customer Role required to maintain Additional Information" upon trying to extend an existing supplier as customer

When using the Manage Customer Master Data app, attempting to extend an existing supplier as a customer results in the following error:

"At least one Customer Role required to maintain Additional Information"

However, it is possible to extend an existing customer as a supplier with the Manage Supplier Master Data app. Further, with the apps Maintain Business Partner/Manage Business Partner Master Data there are no issues.
