3371717 - Unfreeze cost rate for activity type after CE2308

The new design for actual costing is introduced from CE2308.

Previously as described in KBA 3032185, there is logic for "frozen cost rate" before CE2308. This logic is changed after CE2308.

There is new design introduced from CE2308.

Old solution before CE2308:

For one cost center/activity type pair, after the first activity allocation (for example, order confirmation) happened, the system will record the cost rate used. And during the period, for further activity allocation, the system will use this "frozen cost rate" consistently. Even you change the plan cost rate during the period, the system still only consider the "frozen cost rate".

New solution after CE2308:

The system will not store the "frozen cost rate" anymore. For each activity allocation, the system will fetch the price according to the configuration in valuation variant to get the cost rate.

Configuration to be considered:

According to your production order type setting, system will use the relevant costing variant setting.
You can check from the order master data with app Display Product Order - Control tab - ActCstgVar.
There is no app to check product costing costing variant currently. But you can check the linked valuation variant according to KBA 3095001.
Then you can modify the valuation variant with SSCUI 102608 - Internal acty. The default strategy is "Plan Price for the Period".
