3372335 - Cannot Enhance Confirmation Journal Datasource (SCMCFJU01) with Extension field from Inbound Delivery.

You have a Business Requiement to enhancing standard datasource "Confirmation Journal" (SCMCFJU01) using SAP cloud application studio.

In this datasource there is information about outbound delivery ID and inbound delivery ID.

You will notice that you are unable to add extension field from Inbound  Delivery  to enhance report SCMCFJU01.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Inbound Logistics workcenter and Inbound Deliveries view.

2. Select any Inbound Delivery in Not Started status

3. Start Adaptation mode and create an extension field in General tab

3. Select the newly created extension field and click on Further Usage

4. Go to Datasources and Reports tab

You will not see Confirmation Journal Datasource/Report

There are some list of datasources per context that are enabled for extension fields.

There will be no issue while adding extension field from outbound delivery, but from Inbound Delivery ,  Confirmation Journal (SCMCFJU01) datasource/report is missing.
The reason for it is in the case of Outbound delivery Confirmation Journal (SCMCFJU01) data source has been enabled for Outbound Delivery - General Information business context.
Whereas for Inbound Delivery Confirmation Journal (SCMCFJU01) data source has not enabled.

This is the standard system behavior.
