3372485 - Obsolete Locations still selectable when creating a Shopping Cart

You are creating a shopping cart, and you notice you can select locations which have been closed in the Organizational Management work center - Org Structures view.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Home work center. 
2. Go to the Self Services Overview view.
3. Go to "Shopping Advanced". 
4. Create a Shopping Cart and select Location X as Ship-to/Service Location (Location X being the Location you have set to closed in the Org Structures view). 

Notice that the Shopping Cart is successfully created and no error message is raised.

1. Go to Organisational Management work center.
2. Go to Org Structures view.
3. Search Location X. 

Notice the Validity of Location X is expired. 

You have not set Location X's status to "Obsolete" from the Supply Chain Design Master Data work center - Locations view. 

In order to set Location X to "Obsolete", first you need to ensure you have scoped the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function in your Business Configuration. 

Then you can then add the Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.

Next, you must set Location X to obsolete by completing the following steps:

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.
2. Go to Locations view.
3. Set Filter to "All Sites".
4. Search and select Location X.
5. Click Edit.
6. Set Location X to "Obsolete".

Note: If you do not want the user to have access to the Supply Chain Design Master Data work center in the future, you can remove the access rights from this user to this work center after you have set the necessary locations to obsolete.
