3372536 - [ROOE] onboardee got converted to internal user before MPH - Onboarding

• Rehire on old employment onboardee got converted to internal user before Manage Pending Hires when two open onboarding process exists for the same user.
• Rehire has an open onboarding from previous employment.

This issue happens when Rehire on Old Employment is initiated within short span of time of hiring the candidate.

• Candidate is hired initially via Onboarding Process.
• The first Onboarding process is still in Open state and the Process Close Job has not marked it Completed yet while the Rehire on Old Employment process was initiated. Rehire on Old Employment process changed the user from Internal to External user for Onboarding.
• As there are two open processes for the same user, and because first process status is Open with hire status as hired, candidate got converted to internal user again.

The current onboarding system is not designed to handle multiple open process for a given user ID at any given point in time.

• The Onboarding Engineering Team is already aware of this issue.
• As per the team, this has to be handled holistically across all parts of the application and an existing Enhancement Ticket (OBX-25416) was already created.

As workaround, the team suggested to configure the closure job days to mark any Open onboarding process for these rehires as cancelled/completed and prevent this from happening to rehires with old employment.

Since this is an enhancement, there is currently no committed date on the roadmap. You may have this posted via the Influence Portal to track the progress of the enhancement.
