3372664 - Not able to change non-percentage measures to percentages via Number Formatting in the Styling Panel

Symptom

You use Analytical model from SAP Datasphere and have a measure created in the Analytical model. When you use this measure in SAC story, it shows as a decimal value and you would like to represent this as percentage, but you do not see any option to change this via Number Formatting in the Styling Panel.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 1.0

Reproducing the Issue

Cause

According to design, SAC (Tables and Charts, not just Charts) doesn’t allow non-percentage measures to be overridden as percentages via Number Formatting in the Styling Panel.

This regardless of model type and isn’t specific to Datasphere.

Resolution

You may create an enhancement request following this Knowledge Base Article  https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2424376 and discuss it with your CEE.

There is a workaround you may try by wrapping the measure inside of a Calculation that is created in the SAC Story. From here you can configure the format of the calculation and make scaling adjustments to Percentage, for which you can change scale to “Percentage” through “Format” / “Edit Formatting option”.
