3373041 - Google Chrome 117: Impact of unload deprecation on BI 4.x

Starting with the upcoming Google Chrome version 117, (Expected release September 6 2023) chrome unload event handler is being gradually deprecated.

  • The deprecation will occur by gradually changing the default so that unload handlers stop firing on pages unless a page explicitly opts in to re-enable them.
  • Please check out these links for bfcache and unload event deprecation to learn more.
  • Dependent Microsoft Edge (chromium) versions may also be impacted with such deprecations.
