Symptom
In a Service Order, you notice that you are still able to select a Service Center from the list even though the Service Center is Blocked.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Service Orders Work Center.
- Open the Service Order Processing View.
- Open Service Order ABC (Where ABC Represents the ID of the Service Order).
- In the field "Location of Service Provision", use "Own Service Center".
- Open the value help for the "Service Center" field.
You see that one or more Locations that are available in the list currently have their status as Blocked.
Cause
The list that the system fetches when using the value help of the Service Center field does not make a distinction between blocked and non-blocked sites when pulling information from the Business Object, which is why even blocked sites are shown.
Resolution
This is the expected system behaviour.
