3373491 - Business Partner Roles are Deleted After Replication From Sales Cloud (SAP Cloud for Customer) to SAP S/4HANA Cloud System

Upon replicating the Business Partners from SAP Cloud for Customer system to SAP S/4HANA Cloud System, the Inbound webservice deleted the roles assigned to the Business Partner in SAP S/4HANA Cloud System.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Trigger the replication from C4C system

1. Login to the SAP Cloud for Customer system
2. Go to the workcenter Accounts
3. Perform any change to the Account data
4. Save

Check the Replication logs in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system

1. Login to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system
2. As this is an integration from C4C system to S/4HANA Cloud system, to see the replication logs in the Message Dashboard, perform the below steps:
3. Go to the app Assign Recipients to Users
4. Select the + icon to Add User
   Add User:
   Name/ID: Provide the Name or the User ID
   Assign:
   Namespace: /SDCFC
   Recipient Name: SDCFC_ALL
   Message Type: Application Error or Technical Error
   Overview: Checkmark
   Technical User: Checkmark
   
   
5. Go to the app Message Dashboard
6. Calendar Monitor
7. From (Date/Time): MM/DD/YYYY / 00:00:00
8. To (Date/Time): MM/DD/YYYY / 23:59:59
9. Search
10. Select the Namespace / Interface : Business Partner Replication from C4C - BP_IN/00001
11. Observe that the Inbound message received from the Cloud for Customer system has been processed successfully. 

To check the Business Partner data in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system

1. Go to the app Manage Business Partner Master Data
2. Find and open the Business Partner ID
3. Go to the tab Roles
4. The roles which were previously assigned have been removed, for example: FLCU00
   
   

Roles are transferred in current state which means that the roles in the target system are replaced by the roles from the payload.

Upon replication from the SAP Cloud for Customer system, to avoid the Roles from getting deleted from the Business Partners in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system, you have to define the Role Segment Filter within SAP S/4HANA cloud including and excluding roles from the exchange where applicable. 

For example, if you want to preserve the Role FLVN01 role in SAP S/4HANA Cloud system after a replication from SAP Cloud for Customer system, then inside Business Partner Role - 98601 segment filter, this role should be added in the Filter Criteria to Exclude Business Objects.
