3373920 - Filter for Job in Employees View Not Working in Time Administration

Symptom

CASE1: Column filter for job in All Employees is not fetching results for employees whose termination date is between today's date and unlimited.

CASE 2: Advanced filter for job in All Employees is not able to fetch data 

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign 

Reproducing the Issue

CASE 1:

  1. Go to Time Administration work center
  2. Go to Employees view
  3. Apply filter on column "Job"
  4. If All Employees are selected it is not working as expected. It shows all the data
  5. If Active employees are selected it is working as expected.

CASE 2:

  1. Go to Time Administration work center
  2. Go to Employees view
  3. Apply advanced filter
  4. If All Employees are selected it is not working as expected. It shows all the data
  5. If Active employees are selected it is working as expected.

Cause

There is a difference in the query built for the Active employees and for All employees in which the parameters for filtering out based on dates are different for both these cases and this seems to be the design for this two queries.

Resolution

To filter out employees based on job role ,use below path:

  1. Go to Personnel Administration work center.
  2. Go to Employees view.
  3. Apply Advanced Filter on Job.
