Symptom

Some Queries are failing with dump: 

  • Runtime Errors         GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED                                                           
    ABAP Program           SAPLRSEC_CHECKS                                                              
    Application Component  BW-BEX-OT       
  • "Field symbol has not been assigned yet." 

The Variable of a Characteristic uses an offset. A runtime error occurs when you call the Variable screen again.
