3374008 - Query fails with "Field symbol has not been assigned yet."

Symptom

Some queries are failing with dump: 

  • Runtime Errors         GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED                                                           
    ABAP Program           SAPLRSEC_CHECKS                                                              
    Application Component  BW-BEX-OT       
  • "Field symbol has not been assigned yet." 

The variable of a characteristic uses an offset. A runtime error occurs when you call the variable screen again.
