3374247 - Some fields are blank in Story and Advanced Reporting for Global Assignment Users

Some of the Global Assignment (GA) User fields are coming back blank in reporting even though the data is in the UI.

1. Access Report Center
2. Create a Story or Canvas report filtering on any GA users
3. Include fields like "Formal Education" to the report
4. Note that some fields come back as blank for the GA version of the user but not the base user

This behavior is related to how background information is stored and retrieved in Advanced Reporting and Story Reports.

By default, background information is associated with a specific User ID rather than with the person record. In scenarios involving multiple employment, such as Global Assignment, Concurrent Employment, or Rehire with New Employment, the same person may have multiple User IDs and multiple People Profiles.

For Global Assignment users, the background information is stored against the HOME account. Therefore, when the report is based on the HOST or Global Assignment User ID, some background information may not be returned, while the same data is available when reporting on the HOME account.

This is expected behavior.

Although the HOME and HOST accounts have different User IDs, background information in the Employee Profile is stored only against the HOME account.

To retrieve the background information in Advanced Reporting or Story Reports, use the HOME account or User ID as the reporting base.
