3374397 - Expected Project ID not available

When creating the New Project, you noticed the Project ID is XXX02, however you would expect the Project ID to be XXX01.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management work center. 
2. Go to Common Tasks: New Project 
3. Enter the necessary details. 

When creating the New Project, you noticed the Project ID is XXX02, however you would expect the Project ID to be XXX01 as that Project did not save. 

You were creating a new Project and it was in status "In Preparation" with Project ID XXX01. However, when releasing the Project, an error occurred and the project was not saved. 

You try to create a new Project and the system proposes Project ID XXX02. (The next project number).

This is the current system behaviour. 

Once a Project ID has been skipped, whether the Project saved in the system or not, the skipped Project ID will never be proposed again and cannot be used.  

Please note the Project name / description is editable - you may use this field to maintain the required information.
