3374592 - Examples of how the data is exported from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to BW (or BW/4HANA) via the OData Service with the Clean and Replace scope

You would like to understand how the data is exported from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to BW and BW/4HANA (Using an OData service) with the Clean and Replace scope though examples.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

Example:

The data in BW before exporting.

As the start, SAC has the same data with BW.

User modifies data of E1/E2/E3, deletes data of E4, and add new data of E5

If user selects the replace scope: account and entity, then:

Firstly, data in BW is cleaned based on account and entity (A1, E1), (A1, E2), (A2, E3), (A3, E5) from cleanScope and exported data.

Note: there is no way to delete data in BW, hence post a negative value to zero it.

Secondly, write data exported from SAC

If user selects the replace scope: ONLY account , then:

Firstly, data in BW is cleaned based on account (A1,A2 and A3) from cleanScope and exported data.

Secondly, write data exported from SAC

*Click display in internal format will display 0

** For RecordMode value: For new data, the value is “N”. For modified data, it should be “ “. Other status may be relevant when the data is not fully activated.
