3374851 - Leading zeros appears in the values while mapping the planning model in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

When mapping the planning model after the successful creation of job, values appear with leading zero in SAC.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud version 2.0

Connection - Import

Data Source - SAP S/4HANA. 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC.
  2. Open the affected model
  3. Go to Data Management.
  4. From Draft sources click on Data Source
  5. Select SAP S/4 HANA.
  6. Select the connection
  7. Copy a Query from a model.
  8. Select the query.
  9. Click on create.
  10. Open the modeler, mapping GL Account and other gives leading 0 values.

Resolution

  • Check the property domain has a conversion exit and also the conversion is not deactivated in MPC_EXT.
  • If there is a Conversion Exit present for the Domain used, it should automatically remove the leading zeroes while sending the response.

  • The issue appears only with JSON format. 

  • That is because JSON serializer was used using Gateway Generated STs. The role of the STs is to convert the provided data into JSON feed as it is, and conversion is not applied.

  • To overcome such issues, the solution is to deactivate the STs for the particular entities in tcode /IWBEP/ST_ADMIN.
